Since some weeks the forum is hacked by robots who inject bullshit promotion in it.
This make me thinking about the fact that the forum is maybe not so useful here on a webradio
I think that finally I'll remove it.
What do you think about that ?

State of the site / request / updates |

Hello dear listners.
First I wish you an Happy New Year 2007 !
Some news about the radio: We have just move our site to another server for better performances. All is not fully running yet.
We have to fix the request problem (will be done today or tomorrow).
Our provider have also some problems with our stream, so, sometimes the radio is disconnected. We are on the road to fix it.
We are also waiting for an update of some fonctions of the radio like a better view of the requests, better comments module and so on...
We will soon take time to update the news more often.

MP3 stream is back + new AAC+ provider! |
|
I changed my stream provider today to give to people who have problems with AAC+ (Mac) the possibility to hear again Radio Sanctuary.
By the way, with MP3 stream you can use again your Real Player
VERY IMPORTANT: You must update your direct links if you saved it to your radio favorites or on your desktop. Think about it to not miss some good songs !

Better radio quality and more listeners with AAC+ |
|
Radio software of the radio as been updated and now we can stream native in AAC+. What does it mean ? It mean that for a low bitrate you can have a better quality of sound.
Actually, the radio stream is in MP3 - 96Kbps for a maximum of 25 listeners. Radio will be pushed to AAC+ - 48Kbps for a maximum of 50 listeners.
You will ask "but the bitrate is less good than now ?". NO this is really better because AAC+, 48Kbps is like 128Kbps in MP3 !!!!
For those of you who use Windows Mediaplayer, you have to install a little free plugin. Do it now, AAC+ is the futur of the MP3, so, don't wait and download/install Orban Plugin: http://www.orban.com/plugin/
Support of AAC+ is native in Winamp, iTunes, Foobar 2000, VLC
Unfortunately, RealPlayer will desappear, there is no AAC+ support for Real on Shoutcast server.
We think to start very soon to use the AAC+ but the doubling of the listeners will be made only since July 1. No
concerns since we did not have yet of overload until today.
You can test until Sunday June 4 the radio in AAC+ while clicking HERE (Winamp player) and HERE (Windows Media Player with plugin Orban
installed)

Radio Sanctuary open |
|
The site is finally open ! Welcome.
Before to use it 100%, you have to register and wait for the password (admin check all the demands).
The site is far to be finished and stay in heavy construction. It will be sometimes closed for maintenance.
Schedule table is my next priority on the site but I have tons to do like cover management of the CD's, News update, Request optimisation, band database update and so on...
By the way, if some are interested to work on the site, I'm searching people on the News section, Review section and also one or two forum moderators. Don't hesitate to send me an email or PM if you are interested (webmaster@radio-sanctuary.com)
